SOIL TREATMENT FACILITY
Modern Paving owns and operates a soil treatment facility located at its quarry site in St. John’s. This facility was constructed and started its operation in 2006 and is licensed and approved by the Department of Environment to accept soils contaminated with hydrocarbons. Materials received will be tracked, and a certificate of clearance will be issued to clients once the material has been approved as fully treated and ready for disposal. This facility has the capacity of processing in excess of 30,000 tonnes of contaminated soil on an annual basis and is designed for future expansion if needed.
